why .avi? Not cool

I love that this app shoots in wide 16:9.. This is the only 3G app I have found that does the 16:9.. BUT why did you choose the .avi format? Thats lame.. When I shoot the video on my iPhone then email to someone with an iPhone, they cant watch it on their iPhone! .. because of the .avi .. all the other apps save as .mov and play back on an iPhone ... Its lame that the video i shoot on an iPhone app doesnt play back on an iPhone.
